My Hair Care Routine: UPDATED

So if you all remember this post from 2012 >> yikes << its been a while since I have written about my hair care routine and it has changed a bit. My hair is darker now as well as much longer. I still cant get over that it was 2012 when I wrote that. Definitely one of my more popular posts so I thought I would update you all on what I currently do for my hair. Still very simple.

SO I have worked at a salon now for over a year and pretty much that entire time I had them wash my hair about 2-3 times a week for me because of our insanely horrible water pressure and my small shower head. When you have this much hair, it takes like 45 mins to completely rinse everything out. I ain't got time for that!!!!

So things that are the same: I still wash my hair 2-3 or maybe more times a week. It depends on how nasty I get during crossfit ;)

Things that have changed: I am now addicted to this vegan hair care line Framesi
I use the 'color lover' pink ones because that was recommended to me by the ladies at my beauty supply store. I don't think they sell this line in stores but online and at cosmetology professional beauty supply stores. It is the best shampoo/conditioner combo I've ever used! Makes my hair so soft and shiny. I get so many compliments on my hair. So go get ya some here! and thank me later!!!!!

Now that is what I use IN the shower, now after I get out all I do is spray in some of the best leave in conditioner ever..... the original It's a 10! Literally, the best leave in conditioner ever. If you haven't tried it you need to.
After I spray and de-tangle with this amazing brush I put my hair in a topknot and sleep in it.
Prior to blowing out, I put some CapriClear from my last post, or my favorite Redken product Diamond Oil. Depending on what mood I'm it, I'll switch between the two. And of course, I finish my hair with the oils as well for a silky smooth look.

Below are some recent shots of my hair haha
It's funny, when I started this blog I had short blonde hair and now it is long and dark, my how things have changed!

I think the key to the health of your hair is minimal product use and minimal heat. I only blowout like twice a week and curl once and fix certain pieces throughout the week. Less heat and more products without silicones and sulfates is key to long, healthy hair!!!!
